How the Check Works
The check looks at the three things Lithuanian law requires in restoration cases: that your ancestor was a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania before June 15, 1940, that you descend from that person, and – for dual citizenship – that your ancestor left Lithuania before March 11, 1990. Based on your answers you will see one of three results: strong case, possible – needs research or unlikely by descent.
